In 1987 opened the first stage of Line 2 of Metro de Caracas. Its route covers 23.km (14.35 mi) with 13 stations from El Silencio to Las Adjuntas and Zoologico. This Line covers the western area of the capital city.
From January 1999 to December 2008, Telematica performed preventive and corrective maintenance duties at the Operations Control Center and the system's fixed communication devices.
From July 2013 to late 2014, Telematica installed and commissioned the SCADA devices for the upgrade of the Centralized Control System, through Thales corporation.
