Metro de Los Teques is key for the Miranda State capital: it is a fast way to reach Caracas; it covers 9.5 km (5.59 mi), and connects Los Teques with Metro de Caracas' Las Adjuntas station.

From November 2006 to December 2008, Telematica performed preventive and corrective maintenance duties at the Operations Control Center and the system's fixed communication devices.
Line 1 of Metro Los Teques opened in November 2006, from that moment on, it has made it easier for Miranda State users to commute to the capital.
